HTC Explorer orienteers its way to Three

The HTC Explorer is now available on Three on pay as you go and contract deals.

HTC's adventurous handset comes running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and the latest version of Sense, with a 600MHz single-core processor and 3.2-inch touchscreen.

But it's not exactly perfect for documenting your jungle expeditions (we might be taking the explorer theme a bit too far...), equipped as it is with a fairly low-end 3MP camera.

Smart price

You'll be able to pick the mid-range HTC Explorer up from Three stores and online, with the UK pricing set at £129.99 on pay as you go (SIM-free).

If you're up for a contract, it's available from £15 a month, with the £27 a month deal giving you all-you-can-eat data on The One Plan, plus 2,000 minutes and 5,000 texts.

The SIM-free pricing isn't bad, but £27 per month for a fairly average handset sounds a little steep to us but that unlimited data sure is tempting…
