Samsung Nexus Prime - new details emerge

The utterly mysterious Samsung Nexus Prime has apparently been seen in the real world and it looks just like a chunkier Nexus S.

This is according to TheDroidGuy, a site that is claiming that it managed to sneak a peek at the device courtesy of one of Samsung's execs who attended the Verizon Developer's conference in Las Vegas.

According to the person who managed to fondle the mythical Samsung Nexus Prime, the handset had an 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP one on the front, NFC functionality, HDMI and had one single Home button, much like on the Samsung Galaxy Note (and, er, that little known handset, the iPhone).

These specs are similar to those leaked on the net back in early September.

The handset has been given a dual core OMAP processor, according to the site, and the phone will run Ice Cream Sandwich.

If this is indeed the chip inside, then it will see Samsung break away from its usual Exynos chipset.

So, if we are to believe this sighting, then the latest Google-Samsung collaboration will be a little bigger than the Nexus S and have a single Home button.

The Samsung Nexus Prime UK release date is unknown but it is likely that it will hit the US in October or early November.
